I did some black and white rendering practice last night and ended up coloring one of them

This was done on three PhotoShop layers (drawing layer, shadows layer and one final merged ”polish” pass). I used only one brush for the drawing and painting. Keeping it simple really helps to avoid all kinds of pitfalls.
